I am a native Catalan. I was born and raised in Girona, a town in Northern Catalonia. For over a year now, I have been teaching Catalan to people from all over the world through my Instagram account @dailycatalan. No previous knowledge of Catalan is required. This course is for beginners (A1), and for this reason we will start from the absolute basics. However, the course is also a perfect fit for advanced beginners (A2), as the lessons' difficulty will gradually increase.

The topics we cover are:

• Pronunciation: you will learn from a native speaker how to pronounce the most difficult sounds in Catalan.
• Vocabulary: you will learn the most common vocabulary used in Catalan in many daily situations that you can encounter.
• Grammar: by the end of the course you will be able to master the most important grammar concepts, so that you will understand the logic behind the Catalan language.

How the Course Looks

This video shows you how the course, its videos, and the additional materials look like. 

The course is divided into multiple sections, containing the 67+ video lessons and the exercise sets. I advise you to watch the sessions in order, as the course provides you with a sequential and logical learning path.
